Intern Diary – Jack on public perceptions of ‘lost’ tree species

During National Plant Health Week, Find out about Jack's experience as a CFP intern working on a social science project on elm trees.

Jack spent his six months with the Centre for Forest Protection working with one of our PhD students, Fritha, and social scientists at Forest Research and the University of St Andrews. He was looking at the cultural and social connections between people and tree species that have been significantly ‘lost’ because of a tree disease, with a focus on elm.
