Working as part of our Applying dendrochronology for genomic resilience project team, Vedika spent time optimising and conducting DNA extractions on different types of tissue including oak leaves, cores and twigs, and developing innovative solutions to get intact DNA out of tree cores that has been mounted for dendrochronological analyses.
