Goodbye and hello: New Centre for Forest Protection Lead appointed

The new Centre for Forest Protection (CFP) Lead joins us from The Tree Council.

We recently said goodbye to Louise Gathercole (L) who was instrumental in the establishment of the CFP and its success so far throughout her role as CFP Lead. We want to wish Louise the very best in her new role as Executive Director for the British Society for Plant Pathology (BSPP), and thank her for her dedication to the CFP.

In Louise’s place, we have recently welcomed Jess Allan (R) as the new CFP Lead who joins us after four years as a Science & Action Research Manager at The Tree Council. Jess will undoubtedly continue Louise’s excellent work in strengthening collaborative working between Forest Research, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and all of our partners.

You can find out more about Jess and the Centre for Forest Protection Team here.
